WELCOME!
This website is about an exciting community archaeology project based at Nether Heyford in Northamptonshire, UK. A team of professional archaeologists, students and volunteers has been working since 2000 to uncover the rich history of a beautiful corner of the English countryside.
At the heart of the project is a sophisticated Roman villa and bath house complex which was the centre of an agricultural estate extending over about 10 acres.
The Project is largely locally funded and a great emphasis is placed on community involvement in both the process of uncovering the evidence and in disseminating the knowledge it generates.
