We have excavated eight associated 7th century anglo-saxon burials at Whitehall Farm.
THE SAXON WARRIOR
The first two burials were excavated in 2000 and became known as the "Saxon Warrior" burial, because of the sword found lying with a male body: but there were in fact two burials found, one a woman. Click here for more

In 2004 we returned to the site of the "Saxon Warrior" burial and excavated a cemetery containing further six burials, probably of a family group. Click here for more
